Program Description: Detroit Public Library’s Detroit Reads! Program is a free, library system-wide initiative that pairs its own trained and certified tutors with adult learners who desire to learn to read or improve their reading skills.  Our tutoring sessions are held at most of the 23 DPL library branches during regular operating hours.  Detroit Reads! Program offers free weekly one-to-one 2-hour tutoring sessions to adults, ages 18 and up, to include first time and emerging readers, challenged readers, and those striving to pass the GED examination.
